Towpath Bike Ride

Join us for a bike ride on the towpath in the Cuyahoga Valley Parkway on Saturday September 6th.

This will be a leisurely ride where everyone can ride together.

We will be riding from Brecksville Station Visitor Center to Peninsula where we will have a bite to eat at the Winking Lizard and then ride back or take the train back to the visitor center.

Meet at the Brecksville Station Visitor Center at 10:45 am. (rain or shine)
We will ride at 11:00 am.

Post-Event Summary

Bike Ride on the Tow Path

After having to stop two times en route to the biking destination to fix my bike rack (in the steady rain), I thought to myself, no one is crazy enough to show up to ride in the rain. Boy, did I underestimated the ski club! There were a total of seven that showed up to ride. A very light rain greeted us at the beginning of the trail but once we got going, it stopped. There was no turning back. The half-way point was a stop at the Winking Lizard where we enjoyed good conversation, lunch and some even had an adult beverage. The ride back was uneventful and we all had the signature “muddy skunk” stripe up our backs. We were wet, muddy and had a blast!
