Nordic Outing to Big Met.

Ski from 2 to 4 p.m. with apres ski hot beverage or snack. Sign up online (Free) to see who else is going. Della Yost will be coordinating this outing. Big Met has rental equipment available.

Note: Per Cleveland Metro Park rules, must have at least 4 inches of snow on the ground for the ski rental facilities to be open.

Post Outing Summary

Our cross-country ski outing at Big Met golf course in the Cleveland MetroParks was beautiful. There was plenty of snow and the temperatures had warmed to the 30’s so it was comfortable and the snow was soft. The trails were well groomed. About a dozen club members got together – half were on skis and 4-5 were on snow shoes, because all the rental skis were already rented. Yes, many of our fellow Clevelanders thought it was a great day to be outside enjoying the trails too. So if you missed out on getting rental equipment. (I know a few of you did) consider looking for some x-country ski equipment at end of the season sales. After skiing some of us got better acquainted while enjoying a beverage and snack in the club house. Overall, it was a good afternoon. Thank you, Della, for hosting this outing!
