The weather was in the brisk 20-degree range when we got on the bus for our Seven Springs trip, which was better than the 40 degree temps and rain that we had days before. Had a full bus of 41 west-siders, 10 east-siders, and Bob K. meeting us there to pick-up his 3 lift tickets. We enjoyed our breakfast snacks of muffins, cuties, juice & water on the bus ride up with our bus driver Ed getting us there in lickety split time. Some runs were closed and some you had to steer around the snow making machines, but I thought it was a wonderful day of skiing. Everyone was on their own for dinner with the bus departing shortly after 7:00 pm to head home.
We only had two mishaps that I know of, at the east-side drop off one person was anxious to get home and took someone else’s boots by mistake, but the boots were reunited the next day. My misfortune was that I couldn’t find my car keys once we got back to NASA, lucky for me that Mikel K. hung around and was gracious enough to give me and my son Alex a ride home, thanks again Mike!
